Overjoyed

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 9 year anniversary.

I'm amazed we've made it this long.

Just kidding. Kind of ...

It's been a wonderful ride. Full of adventure, small disputes, lots of laughter and way too many kids.

He's the one that gets me. I can be myself and he's not scared of it. Well, he might be scared, but he hasn't run away from me yet.

This morning I checked my Facebook to see a lovely little post from him.

I commented in a similar fashion...but then the real me came out.

Please be aware that this was my first attempt at a screenshot and I hope you can actually read what we wrote. If not, today is a total fail.

Yeah...pretty sad attempt at the screenshot. I'm not very good with the computer.

If you can read this, you will see that I discuss the option of him buying me a new computer.

We've been discussing a time-share option with our one and only laptop. I used to have my own, but I had the dumb idea to get a netbook. Dumb, dumb idea. No CD compartment, small tiny screen and the slowest computer I've ever owned. So we decided to sell it and share the one laptop that was considered his.

But now Jay has 3 classes to take and I have a blog to write every night.

It's war. I've been trying to talk him into buying me a brand new desktop, but I haven't had a lot of luck.

I need help coming up with valid reasons why I need my own computer. Help me convince my husband that this is a requirement and not just a pretty new toy...even though it would be a little bit.

  1. Happy Anniversary Danielle and Jalon! Jeff and I celebrate ten years in June!! Exciting!!

I wish I had ways to convince your husband to get a new computer, but other than the netbook I have that I'm SUPPOSED to be using for school (We haven't had the money to get classes for me yet) he won't get me anything shiny and new. He's kind of cheap. Or rather, I'm rather expensive and he reins me in. LOL

    1. Thank you! Yeah, we don't have the money for a new computer either, but I keep hoping that something will happen.

  2. BEST BUY. Do you have one near you? 'Cause pro tip: Go check out best buy.com. Then see the "Clearance in a store near you" section. You can order a great computer for sometimes more than half the price online, then go pick it up in your store. The only kicker is that you have to order it online and go pick it up in person. But so yeah. Good luck on that journey.

    And happy anniversary!

  12. I also used Best Buy to buy my laptop - I bought it by opening up a Best Buy credit card and for the first year there's no interest so I was able to pay it completely off in that year. So worth it.

I LOVE comments...except bad ones. You can keep the bad ones. Or maybe disguise them as nice ones. I know people that are really good at that.
