Zoo!

It's Z day! Woo-hoo! I made it!

*Happy dance*

And I kind of quit today, with being a "proper" mom, so we had cookies for breakfast. I have another child that sounds like he has the plague- fever and severe coughing. Off to the doctor we go, again...

I made some tasty cookies.

I gave them OJ with it...so it was healthy-ish.

Moving on with the point of this post.

Today is Z!

We went to the zoo a few weeks ago, so I saved this post, knowing it would come in handy for this very moment. Totally worth the million dollar price tag we had to pay to enter this zoo...

Cheerful children.
Would it kill you to smile Evan? Would it? Really?

Picking out dinner.
Just kidding...like they know what's really in fish sticks.

I love these birds.
And I adore their really weird legs.

The brats with Grandma.
This picture was much harder to capture.
My kids don't ever stop moving.

Look! A giant shark tank!
And it's open at the top!
What happens if someone falls* in?
That would be entertaining to see from below...
(*Falls= maybe not so accidentally shoved in. My kids were driving me crazy.)
(Morgan is obsessed with sharks right now. She keeps biting my butt and saying "SHARK ATTACK!)

Aww...then they go and do something adorable.
Evan was showing Morgan all the fish.
Actually, I think he was showing her the fish from Nemo.

Morgan really, really loves fish.
She might have been a little hungry at this point...

Isn't his little face adorable?
I want a taxidermy version of this.
Wearing a top hat and a monocle.

Morgan got a little close to the wrong side of the ham.
Or bacon.
Or a good pork roast.
Sorry, when I see pigs, I think,
"Oh, how cute! Dinner with legs."

She kept saying, "Daddy?" to this digital man.
Digital man was not amused.

Declan was only happy pushing the stroller.
And he did it at a full sprint.
The second my Mom would slow down or try to take the stroller away,
he would have a complete meltdown.
So, I made that stroller heavy by storing my bags in it.
Morgan would have been heavier, but she was terrified to ride in it after he tried to dump her out near the alligators.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE ATOZ'ers FOR VISITING, COMMENTING AND EVEN DECIDING TO STICK AROUND! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME AND IT WAS A BLAST TO SEE SO MANY WONDERFUL BLOGS AND MEET A BUNCH OF NEW PEOPLE! Kind of intimidating, because there are so many great blogs out there, but still a lot of fun.

I know. I was getting all shouty there...but I'm just so excited. =)

    1. I miss you too! And you know that can happen whenever you want! Although, are you sure you want my kids for his friends? They might rub off on him and pretty soon, he'll be climbing the walls too.

  2. That looked like an awesome zoo trip ... really so much fun watching the kids with animals. They are made for each other.

And cookies with orange juice, I love some too ;)

    1. Agreed! The cookies were the perfect breakfast. Who doesn't want chocolate chips at 7 a.m.?

  3. 'Dinner with legs' - just love the pig definition!

I also did 'zoo' for my post, which features my encounters with meerkats and lemurs.

Well done on reaching 'z' and I look forward to catching up with more of your posts on a regular basis.

  5. The zoo is so much fun! Glad no one "fell" into the shark tank. They frown on that sort of thing in today's society. (Not that we don't ALL think it once in awhile!) :)

  6. dinner with legs! ditto on the pig thing. They're wicked smart, and I imagine they have potential to be good pets as some might say... but my mum used to work at a farmer's vet clinic and the number of NASTY pig bites that went in and out of that place... pigs are MEAN yo.

    1. I think they would make a cute pet...until I run out of bacon. Game on then. I had no idea they could be mean. They look so...lazy?

    2. Did someone say bacon? We raise pigs precisely because we love meat so. We've had 20 pigs come through our little farm, not a one has been anything but friendly. Although, none of them are mama pigs, which are very mean indeed when someone messes with the babies.

  7. Oh my stars.. I just found you on Z! Hilarity abounds here, I'm guessing. So now I need to go poke around and see what other goodies I dig up. BTW - I'm totalliy digging this background graphic. Popped over from the A to Z list because of your blog name. :)

    1. Thanks! I'm relieved that it's done, but kind of sad now. I feel like I should have another challenge...could be the crazy talking.

  9. Great zoo photos! How funny about your daughter. Cute kids! I love the name Declan, and I only heard of it a few years ago when I saw the movie 'Leap Year' but thought it was beautiful.

Congratulations for finishing up the A to Z!

    1. That's exactly where we got the name Declan! I found out I was pregnant with twins when we went and watched it, so we knew that one of them would have that name. =)

    Thanks for writing!

I LOVE comments...except bad ones. You can keep the bad ones. Or maybe disguise them as nice ones. I know people that are really good at that.
