A Wackadoodle Day

No idea why I chose that title.

Maybe it's because I'm feeling a little hyped up on endorphins today.

I ran 3 miles this morning.

Maybe that's not a lot to you, a runner of marathons or whatever, but for me...it's a step in the right direction. A huge step. A gigantic leap.

Get it?

I do believe that it's just a makeover of my mind. My body can handle running fairly well, maybe not for 10 miles yet, but I'm getting there. My mind tricks my body into thinking it's tired very quickly (most of the time, it's before I even get out of bed). But today I told it to shut up because I was going to make it the whole way without walking.

And I did. I was so happy.

I think that's why I'm feeling a little weird today.

SO...with that all said, here's my post for the day. With pictures.

Wanted to take a picture of my flower but there were 3 sets of beetles mating on it. Apparently this flower encourages romance.

This one is my favorite. I love this color and I love the tiny flowers on the inside.

SUNSHINE. Blaring, blinding, hurts your eyes to look at, sunshine. I actually can't even look directly at this. But, maybe it's raining where you are and this will help cheer you up. Or blind you. Whatever.

My husband removed the ugly shutters from our house. They were a cheap plastic and they were hiding homes for many insects.

Ewww...dirty plastic shutters.

LOTS of homes. We even found a mud wasp home. That one was cool but destroyed by my husband. Poo. Wish he would let me get photos first....

Now we have wasps all over the place. Like my garden. They did not appreciate losing their homes. I was hoping removing their homes, they would leave my backyard finally...but nope. These wasps are here to stay and torture me. Just like my kids.

That's it. That's all I have. I'm boring. So sorry.
But I took pictures of my boring for you.

  1. Good for you! Three miles is probably more than I've run my whole life.

I LOVE comments...except bad ones. You can keep the bad ones. Or maybe disguise them as nice ones. I know people that are really good at that.
