Feeling Pinterested, Day...something.

Sorry. I failed. Kind of...

I have the projects in work, they are just taking me WAY longer than anticipated to finish.

But, I do have a project that I was able to finish most of the way and I'm ready to show you!

If you look up milk and cookies birthday party on Pinterest, you will find tons of ideas. It seemed like such a great theme for my twins birthday party that we did this past weekend. I couldn't really come up with a theme that BOTH of them would enjoy, but when I saw that, it seemed perfect!

The negative side to this wonderful idea was all the cookies I had to actually bake. I didn't want to buy them all. But I really didn't want to spend an entire weekend making them all either. I decided to do a little of both. I made 3 batches of cookies and bought 2. Worked out just fine.

And because that didn't seem to be enough effort, I bought 16 bottles of Starbucks Frappucinno that my family had to consume so I could use the bottles for milk. They looked exactly like tiny milk bottles. So cute!

I bought 3 flavors of milk and we even had flavored straws that you could drink out of that would flavor the milk for you.

Here are my pictures from the event:

I had chocolate chip cookies, monster cookies, snickerdoodles and 2 flavors of Oreos.

The milk station.
I just bought that potting bench at a garage sale the day before.
Couldn't have planned it any better.

Chowing down on his oreos.

Excited because no one was telling her to stop taking cookies.

My Mom rented a bouncy castle for the day.
I've never had so much fun before.
I wish we were able to keep it forever...

Our gift to the twins.
Keeps them busy for a bit at least.

That's all I have for now.
I'll keep working on those projects and hopefully catch up this week so I can show you them.
And show you that it's never a good idea to go on Pinterest.
It's always a bad idea.
Always.

  1. Very cute party! Everyone loves milk & cookies!

Ooo...I didn't even think about washing frappuccino bottles! I'm planning my friend's baby shower & it's going to be a rustic theme. I want to use old style milk bottles w/ baby's breath in them for centerpieces. Looks like I need to stock up on lactaid & drink some frappuccino! :)

    1. Thanks! I found the idea on Pinterest as well, I just couldn't remember which one. They cleaned up real easy. I don't drink them either, my poor husband had 3 days to chug 16 bottles...

  2. that's an ADORABLE party idea. And it turned out so nicely! I have to admit I'm a little shocked that the combo of lots of cookies + bounce house didn't end in vomit somehow, but it looks like they had a blast.

    1. You and me both! We tried to have them wait a bit after eating, before hopping back in. It was almost me that ended up throwing up.

I LOVE comments...except bad ones. You can keep the bad ones. Or maybe disguise them as nice ones. I know people that are really good at that.
